2025 Geothermal Rising Conference

The GRC is the geothermal industry’s flagship annual conference, reflecting the global nature of the geothermal industry and bringing together people in industry, academia, government, and the general public. Here we build relationships, discuss our opportunities and challenges, educate on the latest technologies and innovations, and inform people outside our community about geothermal energy. 

The conference highlights the width and breadth of the community we have in geothermal energy spanning science, engineering, social-economics, and government, and highlights the eclectic mix of people that are involved: students, corporate entrepreneurs, politicians, professionals and researchers. We also encourage anybody interested in renewable energy to register for the GRC to learn more about the most important clean energy that will form the backbone of society’s energy transition by providing 24/7 always-on electricity and heat management.

The conference offers technical, policy, and market sessions, educational seminars, tours of geothermal and renewable energy projects, and numerous networking opportunities. Our premier technical program highlights the importance of geothermal in the energy mix, not just in electricity generation but also in direct use of heat for district heating and industrial applications, and geothermal heat pumps in residential and commercial buildings.

The Expo presents exhibitors with the opportunity to maximize their exposure at the largest annual geothermal gathering in the world. It provides ample opportunities for engaging with partners and clients. The Lakes Course  

Enjoy your day amid natural lakes, murmuring springs, and mature cottonwood trees on this Robert Trent Jones II designed course. The 7,140-yard course offers a multitude of dramatic scenes as the natural desert landscape flows in and around the green expanse of the course. This Reno, Nevada golf course puts the perfect amount of water, sand, and grass together to give you a memorable golf experience.

• Foursome - $1000
• Individual Players - $275

Rental Clubs - $85 per set (plus tax). Rental Clubs are NOT included with registration fees. Please indicate your rental club needs during registration. The rental club fees will be charged the day of the tournament.

Please note that the hotel will never call or contact you directly about making reservations. To ensure your room is in the official Geothermal Rising Room Block, you should only book your room by using the forthcoming housing link or by calling the Peppermill Resort directly. The room block will be opening in April/May 2025.

Geothermal Rising has negotiated a special block specifically for our event attendees. All conference attendees should make every effort to stay at the official event hotel. Supporting the official hotel room block provides staff support to resolve hotel reservation disputes; ensures attendees receive all applicable discounts and materials; and assists GR in maintaining affordable, quality programming.

The Geothermal Rising Conference brings together thought leaders, academics, industry and students from a broad range of the geothermal community. The conference Program Planning Committee oversees the development of the program and abstract submission process to ensure the conference provides the best possible science, cutting-edge research and actionable take-aways for conference attendees.
