The opportunity to identify up to three volunteers as non-voting members on certain GR leadership committees (limited to: Foundation, Communication, Student, Membership, International, Education, Honors and Awards).

To attain the Earth Energy Visionary level, financial support to GR must be a minimum of $8,000 and does not include sponsorships of the annual Geothermal Rising Conference, Capitol Hill fly-ins, applied workshops, or support to the GR Policy Committee. GR is an IRS chartered 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4). Donations are tax deductible.

Your additional contribution to GR supports a wide variety of initiatives. Let GR staff know if you have a preference for where you want your donation to make impact. Ongoing GR initiatives include:

Region Interest Groups (RIGs) - Support a RIG! RIGs build and empower regional geothermal communities and the people who are scaling the geothermal industry. RIGs are forming across the country. Find out if your state or province has one.

Earth Energy Fellows - Build the bench of policy fellows writing, publishing, and thinking about earth-powered geothermal solutions to solve the existential threats of climate change, the urgent need to decarbonize economic sectors, or how to transfer the oil and gas workforce and knowledge into the geothermal industry.

Traveling Geothermal Museum Exhibits - Support bringing geothermal exhibits to your local museum. This mobile museum initiative highlights the positive contributions that geothermal energy can bring to the everyday life of Americans. These exhibits teach kids directly, their parents indirectly (when the kids go home from their school trip), gives older students a window into a career/community they may not know about, and encourages people to learn about GR (and maybe join!).

Demystifying Geothermal - Empower the sustained marketing effort on social media to amplify the geothermal story to external audiences.

Community Outreach and Empowerment - Your contribution can empower members of Geothermal Rising with research and community building activities. Sponsor outreach material such as Geo Community at the Core communications, the Full Steam Ahead webcast series, individual or group Rock Stars shout-outs, the What's Hot: then and now series, or the Research Heating Up emerging new series.
