The goals of the conference are to bring together engineers, scientists and managers involved in geothermal reservoir studies and developments; provide a forum for the exchange of ideas on the exploration, development and use of geothermal resources; and to enable prompt and open reporting of progress. The German Geothermal Congress 2025 will take place from November 18 to 20 at the HOLM Frankfurt.

It is becoming increasingly clear how necessary it is to make rapid and ambitious progress in the area of climate protection. Deep geothermal energy can make an important contribution to electricity generation, but especially to heat supply. The German government has now also recognized this, but there are still challenges - both technical and in terms of licensing law. But these too can be successfully mastered.

The Geothermie.Bayern practical forum will show possible solutions. Experts from science, business, politics and practice will discuss how geothermal projects can be optimally implemented. Numerous electricity and heat projects, many of them in the geothermal hotspot of Bavaria, present what sustainable energy generation looks like. Currently, there are also many new projects in development in Bavaria, which we would like to present at this year's practical forum.

The popular industry event and networking meeting will take place again from 22 to 24 October 2025 at the Bürgerhaus Pullach near Munich. The congress day on 23 October 2025 will be simultaneously translated.
