2019 Amateur Photo Contest

As part of the Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) Annual Meeting in Palm Springs, California September 14-18, 2019 the GRC will hold its 40th Amateur Photo Contest. The contest serves to showcase the talent of the membership as well as the beauty and intrigue found in every aspect of the geothermal industry. Only amateur photographers are eligible to participate.

The winners will be displayed in PowerPoint presentations, within the GRC Annual Meeting Event App, and will be found on the cover or on the pages in future GRC publications. All entries will be physically displayed throughout the event.

Judging Criteria

Photographs will be judged on their originality, impact, relevance, composition and technical quality. Additionally this year consideration will be given for photos that demonstrate: Diversity in the geothermal industry and/or ways that the industry builds Community.

Awards

Awards will be presented to winners at the GRC Annual Member Meeting. 1st place will receive $150, 2nd place $100, and 3rd place $75. The award checks will be drawn from a U.S. bank. Honorable Mention photos for the topics Diversity and Community will receive certificates.
