GRC Educational Workshops

The GRC develops and convenes special meetings, workshops, conferences, courses, and symposia on a full range of subjects pertaining to geothermal exploration, development, and utilization.

Specific topics have included: Drilling, Economics, Environmental Aspects, Financing, Geochemistry, Geology, Geophysics, Heat Pumps, Legal Aspects, Management, Non-Electric Uses and Reservoir Engineering. The GRC also periodically schedules a basic Introductory Course on Geothermal Energy.

Geothermal Drilling, Well Testing, Reservoir Monitoring and Management

June 2-3, 2014 Jakarta, Indonesia

The GRC Workshop titled Geothermal Drilling, Well Testing, Reservoir Monitoring And Management, is being held just before the 2nd Indonesia International Geothermal Conference and Exhibition (IIGCE) on 4-6 June.

Three GRC members have been chosen to present: Bill Rickard, President, Geothermal Resource Group, Paul von Hirtz, President Thermochem, Inc., and Subir Sanyal, Senior Advisor, GeothermEx Inc.

The workshop will provide practical information to anyone interested in geothermal energy, including developers, financiers, utilities, regulators, pubic-interest organizations, and members of the academic community.
