This position will either interpret 3D and 2D seismic dta to improve structural, stratigraphic, and reservoir understanding and correlate wireline logs to seismic data, or it will interpret and model pravity, magnetic, and electrical data to improve structural, stratigraphic, and reservoir understanding. In either case, the goal is to model subsurface rock properties using geological, geophysical, and drilling data.

FIELD CHEMIST/TECHNICIAN

The position requires an individual with at least a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and at least five years of GC and GC/MS experience. The duties primarily involve the analysis of gas and water samples for fixed gases, volatile and semi-volatile organics and gas-phase tracers using direct loop injection, purge and trap, and headspace concentrators.

In addition to sample analysis, the GC/MS chemist will also be responsible for routine maintenance of Agilent GC and GC/MS instrumentation and reporting of data. Some method development may also be required.

The incumbent will also be expected to perform additional routine analyses using standard techniques including titration, spectrophotometry, flow injection analysis, and other analytical techniques on an as-needed basis.
